daily stream: the most likable Sharon Stone has ever been onscreen?
2018’s *All I Wish* (aka *A Little Something for Your Birthday*) leaves US Netflix soon; on Prime in the UK
The great thing about a subscription streaming service like Netflix is that, once you’ve paid your monthly fee, it’s worth taking a chance on a middling movie. Like the 2018 flick called All I Wish in the US and A Little Something for Your Birthday in the UK. It’s a wholly predictable rom-com that’s too disingenuous about the realities of what it means to be an “older” woman like its protagonist, played by Sharon Stone. But Stone has rarely been as plainly charming and likable as she is here. And the will-she/won’t-she guy she pussyfoots around is Tony Goldwyn, who is a snack, and deserves to be in way more movies than he gets. (Read my review.)
US: stream on Netflix through March 17th; rent/buy on Prime and Apple TV
UK: rent/buy on Prime and Apple TV
