I’m back with a review of ‘A Quiet Place: Part II,’ and more
sorry to be gone so long, but I hope you’ll agree that it was worth it
So what happened is this: I started working on the redesign and backend technical reworking of FlickFilosopher.com, which I had intended to do in little bits and pieces quietly off on the side, while I continued to do all my usual stuff. But I got completely sucked in by it, and it became all-consuming. You can read more about my nerdy odyssey with that here.
It’s been eight years since the site had any significant reworking, and some of what I did on the backend should make the site even more robust and much easier to redesign in the future. But hopefully it’ll be good now for another eight years.
Please do have a poke around the newly refreshed site and let me know what you think. I’m eager for your feedback, and open to any suggestions you might have to improve the site even more.

PS: Yes, I’m starting to review films again that are only in cinemas, such as Quiet Place 2. With vaccination programs in full swing in the US and the UK, where most of my readers are, I’m feeling a bit safer venturing back to multiplexes. (I get my second vaccine jab this coming Friday, and then I may feel even more confident about getting out and about more.) I’ve begun rebuilding my in-US-cinemas and in-UK-cinemas pages, too. Many movies will continue to debut simultaneously on streaming and on the big screen over the next few months — probably through the end of the year, I suspect — so if you’re continuing to shelter, there will still be plenty new stuff to watch.
