locked down, or locked out?
the few things that happened at Flick Filosopher between Monday, March 15th, and Sunday, March 21st, 2021
I’m getting my first coronavirus vaccine jab this afternoon. I had the sort of stress dream about it last night that I usually have the night before I have to catch a plane: that I would somehow be late and miss it.
I am so ready for this… diminishment of our lives to be over and behind us. The vaccine feels like the beginning of the end. Or at least the end of the beginning.
I hope you are all staying well, and finding good movies to keep you company at home for a little while longer.

Stray documentary review: a dog’s eye view of humanity, from the outside

Ejiofor and Hathaway are game, but they’re grasping for something solid, and don’t find it. A deeply unsatisfying novelty artifact of the pandemic that fails to create a necessary sense of transgression. [read the review | streaming US/UK, see review for links]
