weekly digest: a whole lotta cinematic Advent calendar
everything that happened at Flick Filosopher from Monday, Dec 9, to Sunday, Dec 15
I’ve been slammed with some non-film-criticism work this past week, so I do apologize for the ongoing lack of reviews. Hope to remedy that this week!

PS: As promised, the video of my Zoom chat with the Museum at Eldridge Street about the film Chariots of Fire is now available to watch on YouTube. Read more about the event here.

what I’m watching and bingeing
Silo S02 (Apple TV+ globally): I’ve now finished S02, thanks to Apple TV’s press platform, and I hate that that means I have even longer to wait than the rest of you for S03; this show is totally gripping, and S02 ends on multiple cliffhangers.
Station Eleven (Max [via Prime] US, Prime UK): it feels like the right time to give this stunningly good series — about life going on after a civilization-ending global flu pandemic — another go; can’t imagine what made me think this… 🤔
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (Paramount+ [via Prime] US, Netflix and Paramount+ [via Prime] UK): I’m into S02, and continue to enjoy my rewatch; many, remember when TV seasons were really long…
