weekly digest: two documentaries about women getting it done
everything that happened at Flick Filosopher from Monday, January 31st, to Sunday, February 6th
I posted only one review this week (though it is a long one and covers two movies). But, I’m sorry to say, it’s a wholly positive review.
I’m apologizing because reader Tilman made a generous donation recently with the note “More yellow and red light reviews please.” This was not long after I posted my thrashing of The King’s Daughter… and I get that! Bad reviews are fun to write, and fun to read.
Anyway, I have more thrashings up my sleeve, and will share them soon.
Yours in bad movies,
MaryAnn

loaded question: have you ever been so angry at a movie’s trailer that you wanted to sue the studio?
Can you sue when all the funny bits are in the trailer? Can you sue if a piece of music you love is in the trailer but not in the movie? What would compel you to take legal action? [reply at Flick Filosopher | reply at Substack | reply at Patreon]
what I’m bingeing
The Book of Boba Fett [Disney+ globally]: I continue to enjoy this show more now that — no spoilers! — its title appears to be a complete misnomer…
Tweets of the week…
Two, cuz I couldn’t decide which one was better:
