What are your film- and/or TV-related festive traditions?
Me, I like to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas — which appears to be available to stream only on Apple TV+ globally — while wrapping presents... or at least I’ll listen to the soundtrack, which is in heavy rotation in my ears over the holidays.
I mentioned a couple of things in a response to your tweet. The big change for me was coming to live in Australia. Christmas just seems so wrong when the weather is so hot! I also find that I tend to feel sad at Christmas, as I am reminded that I am far from Home, and from my English family. Couldn't bear to get the tree or decorations out this year!
But I love all the old sentimental Christmas films - the 1938 A Christmas Carol with Reginald Owen as Scrooge, Miracle on 34th Street and the like. And some more modern ones, such as The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Muppet Christmas Carol!
