"embarrassed" isn't exactly right, for me at least; lately I have worked to disconnect from feelings of embarrassment or shame in connection with the things I enjoy. Cringe is dead, etc.

But thinking about this through the lens of what others may think I *should* be embarrassed about : I haven't seen the first Star Wars trilogy except for kind of, once, on VHS when I was 10 and my father was playing them in the living room. I just wasn't into it at the time, and I've never had the desire to go back as an adult; not one strong enough to actually devote the time over the thousands of other films out there, anyway.

I have been surprised to see that friends are surprised (or a bit concerned) to see that I enjoy films made for children & families - even when I don't have a child to hide behind. As to Blu ray - our DVD player apparently does play them, but I've no idea what they are.

Blu-rays look just like DVDs, but they are higher-resolution. Not as many movies are on blu, though.

I love kids movies, too -- well, some of them, anyway! Lots of grownups do. Disney movies have a massive adult fandom.
